How it plays
One journey through all four
Start anywhere
Pick the region you begin in, and its own opening plays. Every region's professor has its three starters waiting when you arrive.
A region per Champion
Beat a region's Champion and travel opens to one more region of your choice. After four Champions the whole world is open.
Levels that scale
Your first region keeps its own levels. Each region after it is scaled to how many you have finished, so every order works.
All 493 Pokemon
Every Pokemon from the four games can be caught or found in the game itself. No trades and no events needed.
Red on Mt. Silver
After all four Champions and their rematches, Red waits at the top of Mt. Silver.
A real GBA game
Made to fit one 32 MB cartridge: play it on a real Game Boy Advance from a flash cart, or on any GBA emulator.

Questions
What is it?
An unofficial fan project: one Game Boy Advance game with four regions, Hoenn from Pokemon Emerald, Kanto and the Sevii Islands from Pokemon FireRed, Sinnoh from Pokemon Platinum and Johto from Pokemon SoulSilver, all running on Emerald's engine. You choose where to start, each Champion opens one more region, and Red waits on Mt. Silver after all four.
What will I need?
Your own copies of all four games: Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance, and Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon SoulSilver for the Nintendo DS. Platinum Emerald is made from your files. This site will never host or link to any game and will never offer a ready-made Platinum Emerald ROM.
When can I play it?
Not yet. Platinum Emerald is an early work in progress, and there is nothing to download. This page will say when it is ready; leave your email above to hear first.
Will it run on a real Game Boy Advance?
Yes. It is made to fit a 32 MB cartridge, the most a Game Boy Advance can read, so it will play on a real Game Boy Advance or GBA SP from a flash cart, and on any GBA emulator on a computer or a phone.
Is it free?
Yes. Platinum Emerald is free, with no ads and no account. The email updates are optional.
Who makes this?
Platinum Emerald is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company.
